Walkthroughs: Finished Bayonetta Walkthrough (PS3 XBOX 360)Playing Bayonetta is a lot like trying to break up the nonstop climax action, however it could easily be argued that it doesn’t need to be broken up. With a pair of switchable weapon sets and stacks of permutations for hand/foot weapon combos (each of which has its own move list), you could feasibly use a different loadout for every mission and see all the crazy combo opportunities Bayonetta offers. Far more likely, though, is that you’ll seldom diverge from the katana/guns combo that becomes available early on. With all the fancy technical stuff the combo system allows you to do, it’s a shame that the katana’s basic Y-spam combo is usually the best damage-over-time option — the ludicrously brutal finishing blow rips through most enemies and becomes even more overpowered once you master the art of continuing your assault after dodging. This is made possible by holding the attack button down mid-combo as you evade, and if you time it exactly right then you get to carry on the combo from where you left off for mad kudos. The whip is ideal for crowd control and has the best range at the expense of stopping power, skates trade damage for mobility and flair while the rocket launchers do the exact opposite, as you can imagine.
