While many of 4A Games’ staff persons worked on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (another post-apocalyptic FPS) at GSC Game World, the group is getting its inspiration from a well-known Russian novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The novel tells the story of Artyorn, a man of his youth who has spent the largest part of his life living in an underground Russian train station, one of the limited survivor friendly locations after an unnamed apocalyptic event.
