Released 29 June, 2K Games spooky first-person shooter certainly keeps it shocking and partly because it's also the first next-gen game to favour PS3... slightly. On PS3, the increased storage capacity of Blu-ray Disc has allowed for more such content. Wish we could tell you more about it at this stage, but that's all 2K Games would say on the matter. Luckily for Xbox 360 owners, The Darkness TV is but a trifle. So, moving on
Just to recap, your role in The Darkness is as a Mafia-hitman turned demonic crusader Jackie Estacado. What sets this experience apart from every other fps out there is that you have a pair of pitch-black beasties hovering about your shoulders. These are scarily detailed, and constantly animated sniffing the air for your next victims and devouring the darkness to help them unleash special powers. The Darkness earns its 18 certificate by feeding these diabolical appendages the hearts of victims in gory detail.
