DRIVER '76 WALKTHROUGH STRATEGY VIDEO GAME GUIDE

As the first Driver game released since publisher Ubisoft got its (increasingly fat) chequebook out to acquire the franchise last year, Driver 76 is disappointingly conservative. If you've played a recent Driver or Grand Theft Auto title, you will know exactly what to expect.

Set in the Big Apple in 1976, players control a two bit wheelman trying to earn some cash and (bravely) win the affections of the daughter of a Triad boss. The story is told through brief and attractive comic book interludes in between unimaginative missions.

Duties include trailing enemies, stealing expensive vehicles, escort runs, chaperone errands, delivery chores and racing against rivals and the clock. There are also optional tasks such as taxi driving, street racing and loan sharking, with cash rewards spent on largely superfluous gear such as car upgrades and ammunition.
