In spite of a few missteps, Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches is a good-looking, entertaining and well-made game, especially considering the size of the dev team. It's the perfect title for people who dig history, mystery and the paranormal, not to mention people who like to think when they game.

Rhiannon is a decent game for those who are willing to search for the story within the game, who are willing to keep roaming on the same location without a specific goal and who are willing to look past the mediocre look of the game that already was obsolete in 1996. If you answered positive on any of the above the game offers a interesting adventure. For anyone else it might be beter to wait for a new adventure.

Since the release October 8th, 2008 in the US, this game has had some pretty good press.

And since the game is actually set on the Celtic fringes of Britain; a place where myth and magic spill into reality, the storyline a teenage girl named Rhiannon Sullivan finds herself in an ancient battle for revenge engulfs Ty Pryderi, the remote Welsh farmstead Rhiannon now calls home. She begins to hear unexplained noises, see disturbing visions, and experience other chilling paranormal phenomena. There is an ancient evil lurking in the walls of Ty Pryderi that holds a terrible connection to a timeless struggle between man and magic fabled in the Mabinogion Legends. Her parents take Rhiannon away, leaving Ty Pryderi to your watch and exploration, but their absence can only postpone the inevitability of revenge and death. Unless you can stop it!

· Explore the haunted Welsh farmstead, from the imposing house, to its extensive grounds and buildings

· First-person, point-and-click with approximately 20 to 30 hours of largely non-linear gameplay

· Engaging and unusual challenges, mostly plot and inventory-driven

· Solid chapter structure to the compelling and ultimately uplifting story
