It's a MAG press event just off Baker Street. PS3s and huge HD screens are lined up in a subterranean hall, waitresses move through the crowds with bullet-studded belts, nobody during a presentation ever misses an opportunity to refer to the assembled gaming press as 'operatives' or exclaim 'Let's DO IT!' and a nice Sony PR lady has just taken to the stage to set things rolling.

What is Mag? Well I can tell you what it's not. It isn't a magazine subscription, or what I'd like to think it means, which is a MAG-azine clip for my weapon, (albeit that's probably a pun). But MAG stands for as you probably already know before reading this, Massive Action Game. It's one of the first in existence that allows 256 players on one battlefield, all logged on, all fragging, all deathmatching, all capture the flaging, and all dieing multiple times.

What I can tell is different here is the fact that many of the elements from the likes of an interface like EverQuest are included in MAG. You can do multiple functions with co players. But let me get into that with more detail. Ground warefare, melee attacks, and first person competition is just the tip of the iceberg with Mag. You get a full scale battle, with full sets of squadrons (to complete the 256 players there are four teams in total).
