We had the same reaction when we heard about Arkham Asylum that we did when we heard about the watchmen game. We assumed it would be based on the 1989 graphic novel, but it's more a DC Batman in this title. Even though he has a darker look to him Arkham Asylum the peers who befalling that 90s cartoon based off of Batman the animated series. While the regular bad guys don't want too intimidating, the gaming factor in learning curve for skill is still there. However I still think the challenge factor should be increased a little bit with some options on how you want to take care of the bad guys to make the game a little bit more interesting. As far as the ratings for this game goes most players will probably fall into the under 18 category even though it's necessary to be it an over-the-top type game, I'd recommend parents read the label and be aware of what's included, since the developers had to include quite a bit to keep the dark level is close to the movie as possible.
