Warhammer Online Headed for Novelization
Empire in Chaos in stores in 2008.
What better way to celebrate the revitilization of a longrunning strategy franchise than through turning it into a novel? Electronic Arts apparently liked how that went with the Command Conquer novelization earlier this year, because theyre doing it again with a new series of books to help hype up the upcoming Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
The first book, titled Empire in Chaos, will take place in the same timeframe as the MMORPG and will be published by BL Publishing, a division of the Games Workshop group that created Warhammer in the first place. Anthony Reynolds will be penning the story, which features an unlikely duo teaming up with the Empire and Dwarven forces to fight back Chaos and the Greenskins. Reynolds commented:
"The Warhammer world is a grim place, full of horror, violence and dark humor, and the EA Mythic team have really brought that to life faithfully creating a living, breathing, bellicose world being torn apart by constant warfare. Its the perfect backdrop for a novel. Id been following the progress of the game for some time and it was easy to see that Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning was going to be something special."
