Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility, also known as Harvest Moon: Tree of Peace is a farming simulation title in development exclusively for Nintendo's Wii system being developed by Marvelous Interactive. The title is mistakenly believed to be Harvest Moon Heroes, because of an error in various E3 reports. It is listed on Marvelous's Japanese website as Ranch Story: Tree of Serenity (literal translation of "牧場物語 やすらぎの樹") and is described as a "heart warming life simulation".
Story
You play as a boy or girl resident on an island that houses a goddess and a tree. The tree suddenly dries up, and the goddess disappears. You must restore the magic of the island and bring back the goddess and her tree.
You start out the first few days of the game living in the local inn before you are given your own farm. During this period, you are given time to learn the controls (through part time jobs) and introduce yourself to the villagers. A few days later the mayor will issue you a plot of land.
To revive the tree, the player must help the Harvest Sprites create baumkuchens (or rainbows) and collect certain badges. Once all baumkuchens are collected, the tree will revive and the goddess will return. After which the game continues indefinitely.
The player is also given the choice to start over as "their child" with the same tools and additional money. All the villagers and spouse relations are reset.
Controls
All farming chores will be performed with direct controller motions. To till the player's garden's soil, for instance, they will swing the controller like a hoe. To water their plants, players will tilt the controller downwards as they would a bucket.(you can also press A instead) The controller is expected to be used similarly when fishing and taking care of animals.
A few face buttons will be used as well. Left and right on the d-pad will be used for cycling between tools. Pushing down on the d-pad will disable all tools. The A button will be used to perform an action of some form; it has been presumed that this will be a general button for speaking with people or entering buildings.
Name confusion
During E3 2006, new Wii games published by Marvelous Interactive were being announced. Two of these games were Harvest Moon and Heroes, a game in development by Grasshopper Manufacture (the game is now known as No More Heroes). The line-break between the two games' titles was missing on several E3 reports, resulting in their name being combined into Harvest Moon Heroes.
Livestock and poultry
A video released on IGN on 3 November 2006 shows that Harvest Moon: Tree of Peace will include cows, sheep, goats, chickens, a dog, and a white cat.
Further confirmation reveals that the livestock/poultry you can get are your typical HM animals (i.e., dog, horse, sheep, cow, chickens, ducks), along with ostriches and silkworms. There are the wild animals: monkeys, bears, chickens, dogs, ermines, pandas, penguins, and turtles.
Features
Play as a boy or a girl. Change clothes. Most of the characters have a set of clothes for Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. You can also buy clothes at the tailor shop after it opens.(after first rainbow). Redecorate your home with things such as chairs, couches, a TV, and a telephone. Use the Wii Remote to till soil, water the crops, cut down trees, destroy rocks, and other things. Cast your fishing rod by swinging your Wii Remote up and down and pressing A when the fish bites. Multi-player minigames (up to 4 players), including horse race, insect catching, frog jumping, and stone skipping games. Marry (your spouse will make you lunch and your child can help you on the farm.) Have either a girl or boy child. Rivals can have children too.

She likes dressing up in lolita dresses and appearing younger than she is. Love: None. (Gill likes her but she does not like him) Leena- A rancher with an aptitude for cooking and fishing, breeds her cows and sheeps. Love: Tao. Mai- A waitress with an energetic and cheerful aura. Love: Chihaya. Kotomi- A Topaz Rank 70 girl with astounding mixed up expertise in sewing. She is very shy because of the teasing Juli gave her when they were children. Love: Juli. Pat- Skullstaicful inventor girl with a love of electronics, she is fond of plants and grasses. Sometimes she gets so wrapped up in her projects she doesn't notice was going on around her. Love: Calvin Sheila- A traveling dancer from a different island. Although she is beautiful, she surprisingly doesn't have a rival.
