Scope the hottest hangout of the nextgen. First Look at Midnight Club: Los Angeles:
Though Rockstar Games is clearly best known for its Grand Theft Auto franchise, its Midnight Club series isn't any slouch either. With three main console releases since its initial release in late 2000, the games have combined for over 10 million copies soldwith each title selling about 50% more than the one before it.
Now the publisher and its Rockstar San Diego development house are working on creating a new entry, Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Though it's not due until early 2008 at the soonest, our first look shows it to be a fastpaced thrill ride through the City of Angels.
According to the Rockstar spokesperson who brought the game to show TeamXbox recently, Rockstar San Diego (formerly Angel Studios) set down to build the game with the main goal being to create a detailed version of realworld Los Angeles as the playing field for the drivers, and to make sure that the player stays in the thick of the action. The latter part means there are few loading screens, and the racing is as seamless as it could possibly be.
