EA resets the Live franchise.

When we first spied NBA Live 08 a few months ago, we were morbidly curious. After all, the 07 iteration was such a disappointment that we couldnt wait to see what EA would do to freshen up the franchise.
The reset button has most definitely been pushed, and much like each of EAs other sports franchises, Live seems to be (re)starting from scratch. Problem is, unlike its other sports games, this ones a couple of years late to the remake party. But EA is making the right moves, starting with simplicity: simple basketball, with a focus on shooting, passing, rebounding, and dribbling.

Its not perfect, as the ball will still gravitate to the occasional hand when receiving a pass or tugging down a rebound and shooters will do wild legkicks when youre just trying to shoot a set jumper, but its most definitely a start. Nitpicks aside, this ones on the right path, which is all longtime Live players can ask for, right?
