90GamePro The tone might be almost overwhelmingly saccharine sweet, with even the caricature Nazis of the films stripped of their insignia and leering malice, but all gamers, young or old, are virtually guaranteed a great time. [July 2008, p.78]
90AtomicGamer The gameplay is addictive as ever and the Indy makeover oozes with style.
85Team Xbox Lego Indy doesn't vary much in scope and content from the previous titles that the pair have worked on, but it's still a fun game to play and a smart take on the game-from-a-movie process, which more times than not turns out to be lacking in the "game" portion. Most of all, it makes me wonder what they'll team up on next.
84IGN AU This is not a title that will change your life or change the industry. It is, however, a heap of fun – a light-hearted reinterpretation of three iconic films that's at its best with friends.
80IGN Traveller's Tales has once again delivered an experience that boils down to smashing stuff over and over again while searching for secrets, while also managing to make that formula fun and addictive.
80G4 TV LEGO Indiana Jones may not be quite as engaging as LEGO Star Wars, but it's still a lot of fun to play through. That's doubly true with a friend. The quest isn't particularly long, but there's plenty of incentive for a second run-through (or a third …), and Indy fans will definitely have a blast re-living the original films -- LEGO-style.
80GameSpy Even if you make only one trip through LEGO Indiana Jones, it'll be a great ride.
80GameSpot The third time is the charm for Traveller's Tales--logical puzzles and great offline co-op play make this the best Lego game yet.
80Boomtown The story and general game play is very good. The game on a whole is good but is no better than Star Wars or any worse for that matter. It's just a shame it's let down by some poor finishing in places.
78The New York Times This simple gameplay is appropriate to the game's primary target audience, children. But it is notable just how much fun adults can have with it.
77Xbox World 360 Magazine UK In some levels the single player experience feels butchered. So much so, we occasionally found ourselves switching on a second pad, moving the other character into position and then dropping out afterwards.
751UP Lego Indy's main quest isn't terribly expansive -- you can finish it in a weekend, and that's if you take your time -- but the game's unquestionably built for completists, with a ton of hidden treasure and extra characters (you can unlock pretty much every character in the films, right down to Last Crusade's castle butler).
75Official Xbox Magazine There's still a lot of entertainment value here: the cutscenes, the puzzles, the whip, the unlockable areas, the light-hearted humor. But, moreso than with Lego Star Wars, you don't need a microscope to see the flaws in this shiny new jewel.
70GameDaily This is great, but expect repetitive block smashing and item collecting that, in this third LEGO game, has overstayed its welcome.
70Level7.nu The "Lego Star Wars"-games were fun and entertaining with great co-op features. Unfortunately Lego Indiana Jones isn't as great, simply because fighting Germans isn't as fun as battling Darth Vader, puzzle solving isn't as fun this time around and the video sequences aren't as funny. Despite being a lesser game, this is still a great gaming experience.
70EuroGamer In gameplay terms it represents a commendable improvement on an already solid framework and seems to captivate its young players with the same gently challenging grip o' fun as LEGO Star Wars did. It's just a shame that this evolution seems to have come at the expense of many of the peripheral activities that made the previous LEGO games a more robust and varied experience in the long term.
70VideoGamer Doesn't quite live up to its Star Wars cousins, mainly due to the fact that Star Wars is simply a more memorable series, but it's still a brilliant adventure and great fun.
70Total Video Games This is a fun and thoroughly enjoyable family-friendly game that will surely follow the same successful path its cousin titles from a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away have already walked down.
70Game Informer The magic just isn't here. Repeating the success of Star Wars with a radically different license requires more than Star Wars as a foundation. It really never finds Indiana Jones' pulse, and ends up being somewhat of a mess, albeit a moderately fun one.
