Ninja Gaiden Sigma Demo Affects Full Version
Demo lets players gather currency for retail game.
PlayStation Network Store has often come up short in regards to timely playable demos of PlayStation 3 retail games, making Ninja Gaiden Sigma's demo a pleasant surprise roughly two months before the release date, currently pegged for June 26th. Tecmo and Team Ninja have been doing more than tracking leaderboards, however...spyware alert!

But, it's nothing quite that sinister, really. In fact, time spent playing the Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo will be converted into yellow essence for use in the final game (thanks, Game Watch).
Yellow essence serves as the ingame currency for the famously difficult Ninja Gaiden games, and having a surplus of it from the start can only benefit the player. No word yet on the specifics of the timetoessence conversion, but a couple hours spent whipping around the demo stages should prove useful when it's time to take on the real deal later this month.
