PARAPPA THE RAPPER WALKTHROUGH STRATEGY VIDEO GAME GUIDE (PC PSP)
The art style is that of Rodney Greenblat, and all of the characters appear to be cut out from construction paper. However, the animation used makes the characters appear to jump off of the screen in vibrant, colorful glory. There are games that never lose their beauty, like Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Jak 3. This is one of those games. For a PS1 game to look this good, this is downright scary. It looks even better in the PSP remake.
And the tunes? Welcome to the best part of PaRappa the Rapper. From raps teaching PaRappa kung fu to raps about working at the flea market, each of the songs are infinitely replayable and, at times, downright hilarious. My personal favorite: a trippy driving test rap, involving a slightly inept instructor named Mooselini that sounds a bit like Queen Latifa, and an awesome underlying saloon piano riff.
PaRappa the Rapper redefines fun, even if it has been ten years since its release. If you even remotely like gaming, you owe it to yourself to give PaRappa the Rapper a try. And with the PSP remake on the way in the coming months, you have no excuse if you avoid it.
You gotta believe!
