The online game guide in question is a title for the Nintendo Wii and PSP versions of Prince of Persia: Rival Swords. Like the Wii version, Prince of Persia: Rival Swords on the PSP is a port of 2005's Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. Unlike the Wii version, the PSP game features a few bonuses to move it beyond "direct port" territory. These consist of remixed environments, a new multiplayer mode, extra chariot races, and a bit more story. Unless Two Thrones is fresh in your memory, you may not notice them, but they don't hurt the game at all.

 But the appeal of Rival Swords on the PSP doesn't come from the new content; it comes from having this style of game on a portable system. And there, it succeeds. Prince of Persia's gameplay -- the platforming elements, the way it's broken into small chunks, the ability to take it at your own pace -- works extremely well on the PSP. It's structured so that it's easy to take a break if you need to shut off your system quickly, and the controls work great most of the time.
