In order to make Capcom more competitive, we will focus on further strengthening development of our core home video games business, marketing efforts and sales efforts. We plan to create a title portfolio that accurately reflects the global market share, as well as strengthen our RD organization and staff. Our title lineup includes many new titles in our existing franchises over the next period, including 'Resident Evil 5'.
That tells us pretty much nothing  except Capcom's aiming to release Resident Evil 5 before the end of their next fiscal year, ending March 31, 2008. This jives with Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi's comments last December that Resident Evil 5 wouldn't arrive until sometime in 2008. Resident Evil 4 arrived in a similar earlyintheyear timeframe, so Capcom's timing wouldn't be anything new.

Contradictory evidence, however, is found within Capcom's own financial presentation, where they refrained from even mentioning Resident Evil 5 in their release schedule for fiscal 2007.

We're as confused as you are.
