Get the game walkthrough guide for: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for the PC PS3 Wii and XBOX 360.
Within the very long parade of films that have been coming up unearthing those very memories we recall from our childhood, it can be difficult to differentiate the impact of nostalgia from the recent series of remakes from all of those old animated TV shows. Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen Walkthrough However, Transformers is fortunate in the fact that the source cartoon itself basically sucked ass. But then that's why they did away with most of the real source material anyway. The toys are, and those very same toys we had to puzzle with back then are now plaguing store shelves with their CGI-powered counterparts. Versions of Optimus Prime, Starscream and the rest really don't appear to be much more exciting than they did back then. The general idea of the old slogan "robots in disguise" that had folks running out to stores is the key angle used for Speilberg's cinematic "Transformers" of 2007, and that carries over into the new movie that released June 24. The awe-inspiring visuals are the hook here, and one would wish it would continue onto the video-game interpretation of the sequel. Those anticipations are somewhat adapted for comparative applied sciences. Regardless the visual design is a major drawback when we reviewed Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The game is, however, confessedly a bit more improved than the video-game interpretation of the first film. Tranformers Revenge of the Fallen THE GAME Walkthrough Any good gamer would treasure several of theother things that new developer Luxoflux did do with the franchise however. One example is the addition of having the game be repayable. This inspiration gives gamers a potential for willing to challenge themselves and aim for the top of the online leaderboards. Each of the levels is timed, and how fast you complete them not only yields you platinum, gold, silver or bronze medals, but also points that unlock further missions. There are several unnecessary targets though and amongst them are those hidden medallions to allow you to obtain energon, which are monetary units within the game. They are essential and required to buy you upgrades. In other words, they've tied classic video game fun to the crucial tasks you need to complete to move on in the story. Tranformers Revenge of the Fallen THE GAME Walkthrough The main thing that really brings the game to some actual entertaining and slightly enjoyable fun is the general structure of how the Transformers themselves react and function. Utilizing any number of them on either side gives a puzzle solving scenario to overcome whatever particular mission you are trying to resolve. Eventually you wind up with only one or two to choose from though which makes selecting your protagonists easy enough. The weapons structure for the game is based on two specific kinds of weapons. Either grenade launchers or sniper rifles/machine guns etc. Your guns tend to get too hot when overused and toggling between the two weapon sets is essential for completing a mission efficiently. The Transformers also have melee skills albeit they are pretty simplistic. You can do a basic combo by hitting X three times in a row or you can hold it down for a charged-up attack. The game gets a bit more interesting when you begin earning points that unlock the Overdrive function which basically is best to use since it keeps your weapons cool, boosts your damage limit for a time, kind of like a good buff, and allows you to do some pretty skillful combo attacks based on your specific transformation. You can also do some kinds of melee attacks out of transformation like a ground pound or super jumping. These attacks tend to look pretty awesome as they earn points and those skills are needed since once you exploit them you get further into upgrading your bots on schedule. GAME WALKTHROUGH: Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen The GAME The designers at least had this in mind when putting depth of game play into storyline. It also makes having a higher score more appealing as well which gives you something to strive for when playing skillfully. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is all about getting the high score or the best time on a level. Since that is the goal, and replaying becomes an option, it really increases the repeatability of playing the game over and over quite a bit. As much fun as it is to pull off crazy transform moves or go on overdrive skirmishes, it all can become debatable after playing for any lengthy amount of time. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has issues with repeating, especially with some levels looking drastically similar after a few hours of play. You might find yourself becoming a tad tired of the waves of enemies. The big boss fights make the game story flow a little more digestible as it breaks up the monotony a bit even if they are bit un-inspirational. Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen Strategy Guide, Cheat Codes and Walkthru If the storyline keeps you intrigued however, the above issues more than likely won't bother you. But if you barely enjoy it, then your interest may fade (like mine did) as the game drones on. What could really turn that around is multiplayer, though. It's surprisingly fun, mainly because it's really satisfying to coordinate the divergent skills and abilities of the different Transformers in a team-based environment. There aren't a ton of bots to choose from, but roles are definitely fleshed out: To diversify and delegate snipers, defenders, healers, attackers and so on makes it bit more amusing. Playing a team-based, objective-oriented game is a good time with players who know how to communicate. Myself, I might be a bit cockered, since when I was playing multiplayer, it was with the beta testers of the release team along with my other friends in the industry, but I can see the multiplayer mode really taking off. Not to curse it with kudos, but Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a monolithic upgrade over the previous movie-based game in the series. That said, it's really kind of unfair comparing them against each other. In spite of some feelings of repetitiveness and a lack of polish in a lot of places, I feel like it's my duty to commend Luxoflux for the hard work they put into this game. They did make a pretty good game that treats the license with the respect it deserves. Cheats Codes and Full Game Walkthrough Strategy Guide for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen THE GAME In the history of games based on movie licenses, I'd give it an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. However, keep in mind, my gamer opinion stands on the fact that it does not belong on the must-own list.
