IGN apparently just spoke to an EA representative who officially confirmed the pull. The game's also no longer featured in the company's own PS3 lineup on their press website.

They're not ditching the console, though; the NBA Live franchise is still be heading to the PS3 eventually, but not until NBA Live '08.

Those with in insatiable urge for monster dunks can at least take heart in EA's rationale for canning the project: they need all those guys currently grinding away on porting the 360 version of NBA Live 07 to work on getting NBA Street Homecourt out the door early next year.

That one, at least, is still coming out for PS3.
