”What is life like as a minifigure?” It’s not a question many of us will have posed ourselves. The studio is working in conjunction with former team developers, and Lego Universe bring it forward with who is handling the upgrade, to polish up the title for a gold release, amongst this they intend to toss in some modest extras. Trifling plastic men with exchangeable body parts are normally our subjects, there to be manipulated and puppeteered by the all-too-visible furnish of the play-god. Even in Traveller’s Tales’ phenomenally doing well LEGO Star Wars, Batman and Indiana Jones, the minifigures exist merely as a comedic vehicle for someone else’s players and stories. The first half-hour of Lego Universe could bring out the jaded cynic in any gamer. Here we go again, you think, as the camera pans round yet another setup of similar style. We don’t in the main try and empathise with them.
But that’s really the question that NetDevil’s Ryan Seabury asks himself each calendar day. If that isn’t enough the full Lego Universe walkthrough is posted in the members area.
